A:Answer If you only need WiFi, then don't choose a carrier. A carrier is only for use of a cellular signal where there is no WiFi signal.If you want the option of using both - for instances where there is no WiFi signal and you need a signal then you would choose a carrier. To be clear, when you choose carrier, you will also have WiFi. When you choose WiFi, you will have no cellular signal.
Also, adding carrier will add to the cost of any iPad you choose....
