A:AnswerIt has to be opened. But if you already have a sim just activate it yourself. It’s as easy as putting the sim in and following on screen directions.
A:AnswerI just did this actually. You would need to get a new sims card from boost. But when I did mine a lot of other people were getting them at boost so they were sold out, so we got them from Best Buy, they were only $5 to buy them. Then you call customer service through boost and tell them you bought an unlocked phone and need to switch the new sims over to the new phone....

make payments monthly towards the phone. I also have 24 months to do so with no interest if paid in full by then.
