What does unlocked mean in terms of a phone? null

Unlocked to any carrier like Verizon,Cricket,Boost Mobile etc.

Once locked in this way, the phone becomes subject to that carrier’s standard unlocking rules and eligibility requirements, even though the device was paid in full at Best Buy.

It means you can take your phone to any carrier with no restrictions
