Folks, check your facts before blithely answering questions. The non-SIM phones are ONLY the US models. In other markets, the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a SIM tray. In fact, take a look at the US version and you'll see a blank where the other markets have a SIM slot. My South African family have 14 Pro Maxes with a SIM slot but they are much more expensive than the eSIM version sold in the USA. I actually bought my wife a 13 Pro Max 1Tb in the USA just to get the SIM slot. eSIM works BADLY beyond the US market, hence my choice. Apple lost the plot here.
