• If you are carrying in pocket yes. In a purse bouncing around maybe not

• This case has a lip that prevents the camera from contacting the surface when the phone is laid down on a counter or desk. It doesn't have anything that covers over the camera (like a clear window).

• Yea edge around lens are hard. No trouble against flat surfaces.
