The phone is locked to Total Wireless provider. Unfortunately, I am unable to answer whether this phone can be unlocked.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it is unlocked & you can buy a sim kit through at&t or boost or any of the ones that you would want & get it set up through prepaid! Most of the kids phones now we have moved over to prepaid service with unlocked devices because in the end it saves SO much money compared to contract plans! Prepaid is the way to go! Yes you have to pay for the phone upfront, but with deals like this it is totally worth it! & now you can get prepaid plans for as low as $35 a month with unlimited everything vs. the scams of contracts & the $$$$$ they steal from you! Take a spa day with the money you save or put up for the kids college! In the end you will be happy you did!
