I don’t think so there’s a activation fee from the store which I think all stores do. You may be able to just call att and have them activate it I did that once with an old phone that I lost and ended up finding a few months later. I think that may work if you buy a already used phone off someone.

He thought I bought it outright because I picked it up at the pickup desk after ordering online. I guess it’s up to you. I would talk with a member of the geek squad.
