I have the same dock and it works well, charge and download/upload, with my SE. It doesn’t seem to work completely with my XR. With the XR it will only charge, not always allow for download/upload. For you, make sure you plus the device in fully (check to see if any case etc is interfering with the dock) and unlock the phone. You should get a message asking you to trust the device or not. If you don’t, then it will be an expensive stand. Hope this helps.
