• I was in the same situation. I just had to pay the difference of what was left on the contract. Luckily mine was $75. So you’ll pay whatever the difference is before you upgrade. You’ll end up paying the contract difference (whatever it is for you), the taxes for the phone, the activation fee. Then, of course, each month pay your service plan plus the phone.
