“When I buy the phone where will I have to go to pay it and how much would I pay for the phone if I want it at AT & T is the phone with the line or do I have to pay the $ 999 for the separate phone? I mean, I'll have to make the phone payment in one go or”

I upgraded through Best Buy , but I upgraded on my AT&T account. I chose At&T upgrade from Best Buy and paid the upgrade fees and the payments were added to my AT&T bill. You will pay the monthly fees for your phone if you added it to your AT&T account along with your AT&T bill, you will not be paying Best Buy per month unless you used a Best buy credit card. It will show you everything at the end. It will show your plan and you will have a chance to overlook it and make changes before you complete your order. The phone is very nice so good luck.
