Yes, it is new. it’s not a refurbished or open box. If the question is: is it the newest model? No, is not. This is a previous model. Xs and Xs Plus are the newer iPhones and Xr which is cheaper than the other two but is just a single lens camera.

If you are buying a open box certified item you may get as good as new one. But make sure you get a unlocked one. I have got a T-Mobile locked phone when I ordered unlocked one. I had to go to multiple places to get help with no luck.
