How does this change a contract by doing an upgrade? null

No contract change. I have unlimited data and text and only extra charge besides activation was the payments for the phone.

It won’t change your contract unless you don’t have premium data “smartphone plan”. You’ll either have to pay the full price upfront or do the monthly installments.

Once you are done with the lease, no matter if you chose 18 or 24 months, the phone is paid off and you no longer pay that monthly cost. This of course is based on buying the phone through Best Buy.
