“Can this work with my 6th gen Ipad to project movies to my Samsung TV through the Disney+ app? Would I need to purchase an HDMI connector as well? How would I connect the A/V adapter & HDMI connector?”

I would think so if you have a lightning connector on your iPad. Unfortunately, you will need to purchase an HDMI cable separately to plug it in from the adapter to your tv.

The adapter replicates whatever is playing on your device including sound. You need to have an HDMI cable from the adapter to the TV but that’s it. Plug the lightning connector into your iPhone or iPad and the hdmi cable into the TV and you’re set.
