• Yes, It works and charges with the ipad 5th generation, and the iPhone 8, those are what I use it with. Video and sound and charging all at the same time. Just plug it in and it works the first time (just remember to hit play again as it pauses when you connect, and be sure the sound is playing out of the ipad when you connect).
