Yes it does. I have 2 different brands and both of mine work with this adapter.

Genuine Apple ones should work for audio and mic. Other brands and counterfeit ones , usually audio only at best and often try to use BT to bypass the Lightning license. Use Apple or recognized brands and check carefully.

Yes it does. I've tried two different headphones and earphones with built in mics and they worked.
