No, this is not for charging. It converts lightning connector to regular 3.5mm headphone plug. Another word is to allow you to use headphones with 3.5 plug on new Apple devices that lack common 3.5mm input.

No - this attaches a 3.5mm aux plug only. Not usb or micro usb

No, this is strictly an adapter for corded earbuds that have the 3.5mm jack. It's not for charging.
