• No. This is for charging only. They do have an adapter that allows you to transfer photos from a SD card to you IPad though.

• It will not work for that. Purely to connect a 30 pin to lightning.

• As long as the SD plug has a 30 pin piece to adapt to the outlet. It should work.

• Don't believe you can; there is another tool for that. I used this adapter to link my Wahoo Fitness Dongle to my phone; which I can then use to link to some fitness equipment. As stated earlier, I believe Apple has a lightening adapter to load your phone's SD card and upload pictures.
