• Get the mini Mac. Get an inexpensive monitor and enjoy! You can't go wrong. This may not answer your question, but this is a better buy for the money. I bought my monitor $100 with the new mini Mac with the M2 chip

• Sure. You can put them on the same network and share files and remote desktop from one to the other.

• I assume you want to transfer data and that will work seamlessly but you can’t go backwards on Mac OS versions.
