• Sadly, no, or at least not in any practical way. I had the same challenge, which I ultimately "solved" by junking a fantastic iMac 27 (Intel powered, of course) in favor of Mac Studio and an LG UltraGear display. Good results, unnecessarily expensive, thanks to Apple's planned obsolescence,

• Nope, unless it is like a 2012 iMac. That feature was turned off on iMacs. Same want here but alas, no dice.

• No, newer Macs cannot use Target Display Mode. Since the iMac is really primarily a computer, new Macs cannot also use it as a monitor
