I had an old pro (early 2011) before I just got this air. I went back and forth for a while about which model to get this time around. If you are using this for everyday things, not like a business, then I think the air is great. I was told that if I am really into photography or graphic design that I should get the pro. If you are just looking to keep your photos and do personal editing, then I think that the air would work well for you. My advice is to go with your gut.
