- Answer The Macbook Air is a light weight but powerful laptop; it is kind of entry level for users attending school or doing every day work. The Macbook Pro is more robust, multitasking laptop; usually for professionals who need processing and use high definition graphic applications. They are both excellent machines and their battery last for a long time. But if you don't have a big need for graphics and processing, I would recommend you buy the Macbook Air; the battery life on that one is better than the Pro. Good luck!
