It is midnight blue. And it does indeed show fingerprints more than the other color choices.

I had chatted with an apple rep before purchasing to ask if it was a black or blue and was told it was black so I was very disappointed when I received it. It was def not black. I ended up returning it and purchasing the silver one instead. Was really looking forward to a black one.
