Is this enough memory etc? null

Not really but Apple memory upgrades are costly. My advice, take the 256 gig add and buy a 1tb Samsung external SSD from Amazon for like 100 bucks. Only keep essential files on the Mac, pictures and movies on the SSD.

Memory and storage are two different things. Memory should be good for most things

No, and it’s NOT EXPANDABLE internally. You would have to use an external drive, which imho is clumsy, not to mention that it would take up one of the precious USB ports

For general browsing and some gaming, yes.
