As for photos you may get better picture quality viewing them on the MacBook Pro if it’s something that you do a lot and depend on seeing the true colors. The prongs also fold down. Not sure what you mean by a "normal charger brick" as they've not really changed them in years other than the cable being removable from the brick where before the brick had fold out cord minders on either side that you would wrap the cord around, but since you can detach the cord, that's really not needed anymore.
