It entirely depends on your use case, if you are using the laptop for light tasks like emails/schoolwork then go ahead and get the M4. The M5 has higher peak performance and a faster drive for quicker boot and loading times. If you are someone who typically uses all of the power their computer can handle, then get the M5.
