I got the M2 but used the difference in price to get more RAM & SSD. That should serve your purpose fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There's not much difference in most usage between m2 and m3 versions, IF you have a 512GB or larger storage. The issue on the M2 and M1 MacBook airs was the 256GB storage unit ran at half the read/write speeds of the larger storage units. That is no longer the case in the M3 laptops. For audio production, my m2 15" MBA with 1TB memory and 16GB of ram works quite well. I think the newer m3 model refined some things and if you're producing multiple track audio with filters, I'm sure the 20-30% speed improvement would be nice to have for the money.
