• If you have a pre-2012 socketed MacBook Pro, you can upgrade to 16 GB (with DDR3 SO-DIMMs). • If you have a Retina MacBook Pro (2012+) or any MacBook Air/Apple Silicon model, 8 GB is fixed — you’d need a new logic board or new machine to move to 16 GB+.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not upgradeable. For everyday use 8gb RAM is easily enough, haven't met any issues so far. That said, 16gb is more future proof and definitely recommended in professional use as in rendering and editing.
