“I understand Apple is moving away from the intel processor next year. Is it worth waiting til next year to purchase? I would use this for business.”

They are, but they have not set a time frame for when and how they are going to make the change. I went ahead and bought this, it was $1599 at the time and I had an older 15 inch MacBook Pro I sold to help pay for this, so for me it was an easy swap. I went this way for the keyboard, they had updated it and gotten away from the butterfly style they were using. I had noticed there were a lot of folks with keyboards that need to be replaced, and I didn't want to be one of them. I update my computer ever couple years, so for me, at this time, it was a good move to buy it.

But it will take time for everything to become incompatible again with intel. The waiting game is tuff. There is always something better around the corner. No matter when you decide to jump in. So... enjoy what exist and has most bugs worked out for now ;) . Good luck with the decision.
