“Can the ram be upgraded to 16gb? If not, can it be custom bought and still have the discount applied?”

This question is for: Apple - MacBook Pro - 13" Display with Touch Bar - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB SSD - Space Gray

This model can be purchased with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, but the RAM can not be upgraded/added at a later date. If you feel you will need 16GB of RAM then you must purchase the MacBook with the 16GB. Hope this helps.
