The MacBook Pro has more input slots for other devices.

The MacBook pro will always be the best option for heavy tasks, but the MacBook Air is great for day to day tasks depending on if you are doing a heavy load or light load tasks. I would recommend the pro for blender use, video editing, and other hard workload tasks. The air is great but it will perform slower.
