• It is ready to go . You get apple office suit for free with it. You will be ready for browsing , word processing etc. Also photo and video editing with apple native software But all depend on what you will use it for, if you will use it for other than the tasks listed above you might need your own software.

• Ready to go out of the box. Email is easy to set up. I did purchase Mac Office Student with my laptop and installed it quickly without any issues. I think you will be surprised at what comes on this computer. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
