• Unless you purchase directly from Apple, the best processor you can get is 2.9 with turbo boost up to 3.9. That's what this model has.

• Again, all we need to know is the processor model? Which is it? There are 10 vastly different mobile processor that fit within the "7th Gen i7" bubble. Please specify. Is it i7-7700HQ?

• It's worthless to get the top end CPU's anyway. The 13 and 15" MBP's throttle under intense use, so you never really get the extra speed. The smart move is to use any upgrade money on RAM and SSD size.
