Short answer: 1) Better thermal performance so it'll run faster 2) Bigger screen 3) Better graphics card so photo and video editing will be faster Long answer: The 16" model is a little bit bigger, but it isn't as simple as that. Since it is bigger, not only does it get a larger screen, it gets better thermal performance since the cooling fans have more room to work with. This also has a better graphics card meaning it can render photos and videos much quicker aside from the better thermal performance. If you have a bestbuy account you can get the 16" for $100 cheaper than the smaller one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 16inch is a completely new MacBook Pro that's replacing the 15.4inch. The 16inch has a lot of changes for the GOOD and it's a better deal then the 15.4inch. YouTube a comparison video you'll see all the little things.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The i9 was slightly faster in video exports with iMovie and final cut pro. Though with updates to those software the new 16" should be faster. Other than that, the screen is slightly bigger and the keyboard is massively better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The i9 in the 15.4” is known to throttle severely under load and the 560x isn’t up to the same level,of performance as the 5300 GPU in the 16”. However, beyond the size, there are two other areas where the 16”just flat out kills the 15.4”! Speakers / sound quality are much better on the 16” MacBook Pro and the keyboard is just far and away the better keyboard when comparing the two.
