We upgraded at home (since I know about working on computers) to SSD and 16GB Crucial Mac Ram. This was about $200 upgrade. It is as fast as a new system now.

Please try again later.i have no problems or complaints in regards to processing speed with my MacBook Pro,now download speeds would depend on your internet service,router/modem and condition of wiring(underground/fiber optic)and other factors. I currently have older 12mbps and have no qualms.

If you want a mac product with more speed? You get what you pay for. Do your research then buy according to your needs.
