I agree. I don’t’ think this can fold into a lay flat mode or tablet style while attached to the keyboard. This is a bummer for me as a digital artist. I don’t want to take it off and switch cases or lay it on a hard surface all bare back! For me, I think I am sticking with the folio and buying the standalone magic keyboard since I do more media consumption/art rather than office/business work. Good luck! Cheers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All of the previews and videos on it have shown people detaching the iPad to use in tablet mode, given the structure it doesn’t look like it would be able to fold all the back and lay flat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The keyboard only opens to about a 45 degree lock with more angles available from tilting. You have to detach it to use it as you're asking.
