“Does this close & lock to protect the iPad if dropped or does it come open thus not protecting the iPad”

• It will not protect it 100% as some of the other covers, but I have had my keyboard and I have carried it around with me a lot and have dropped it and have not had any issues. I do enjoy the keyboard and i do feel secure with it but just try to be extra careful with the ipad
