• They turn on automatically, but if you would like to adjust the brightness you would go to settings>General>keyboard>hardware keyboard then adjust accordingly.

• The backlighting turns on as soon as you connect it to the iPad, and the brightness automatically adjusts according to the ambient lighting. The brightness level can be adjusted manually but you have to go into the iPad settings, but I’ve never needed to adjust that.

• ok just go to general then go to keyboard then click that then go to hardware keyboard and click there then go to keyboard brightness and thats it and move the white dot to get more light or dim the light what ever you want then your done with that then go back to home screen and done thats easy to use
