It only works for an Ipad; if you are using Mac, you can use the ipad as an extended monitor, and then you would be able to use the keyboard for the Mac while having the Ipad connected to the keyboard, but no you cannot directly connected to you Mac computer to use as bluetooth you cannot use the keyboard if the ipad is not attach to it (it draws its power from the mac, it has no battery) and no way to use at at all with a pc.
