No, especially if you bought the 16 inch version. The trackpad on that unit is the best in the business and a mouse can't keep up. The only reason I would use a mouse is if you just couldn't stand the trackpad, but I prefer the trackpad, even when working with Final Cut Pro.

I personally find dragging objects with my finger to be a lot more awkward than doing the same with a mouse. Other people prefer using a trackpad. If you're happy using the trackpad, then you don’t really need a mouse.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would 100% recommend having a mouse, it doesn’t necessarily need to be this one, but having a mouse is very nice. Why? because using a trackpad at a desk is honestly not optimal in all situations, IMO trackpad is for when your mac is on your lap, but a standard mouse is best when sitting at a table/desk.
