• Hi Joy. This is the correct pencil for the iPad 2020. It is the newest version. I own both.

• So far, the second generation Apple pencil is the newest one on the market. It will work on the newest IPad Pro(s). It has no adapter connection to charge it. It can only be charged on the IPad Pro.

• It is the most recent, and yes it works with the latest iPad Pro. the iPad Pro without one is unthinkable!
