Will this work with the iPad generation 8? null

My understanding is no. You will want to look into the generation 1 of this product. You may be able to use this particular version as a regular stylus but in that case the price wouldn't be worth it. Biggest improvements in this version are magnetic attachment and palm rejection, which are only built into newer iPads notably from latest gen Air and Pro lines

It might but it’s recommended for the latest version of iPad Air or iPad Pro. I won’t risk paying for something that won’t give me a good experience.

No - only works with ipad pros and the new ipad air 4th Gen. Any other ipad needs the 1st Gen pencil
