I have grand children that use the devices frequently. That was the reason for ordering the tips. I did not experience any noticeable premature wearing of the tips. I just purchased the extras for backup. Hope that helps. Milton.

Please try again later.I have dropped my pencil a couple of times and have seen the need to replace them - normal wear and tear, the tips will last quite long time, and there is a replacement one that comes with the Apple Pencil. I have found that normal use without dropping the pencil the tip will last longer than probably the time frame of owning the tablet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The tips will fall off (become unscrewed or come off while in storage) from time to time. Even with the rubber cover the tip can come loose and or fall out. I purchased the 4 pack after loosing the tip while working outside. I don't know when or how the tip disappeared, however, I missed not have the pencil on demand when I needed it. Since I don't use the pencil all the time, it took me a while to order / find the tips. It is a time saver to have some extra tips stored near by. Ins. Adj. April 3, 2018
