• A:Answer The iPhone 7 and 7+ did not have any recalls on them. However, the iPhone seven and 7+ did have an initial manufacturing defect where in a low grade solder was used to attach the audio I see chip to the internal logic board. After repeated impacts or shocks or if the phone was exposed to extreme heat the audio I see chip could D laminate from the logic board and cause the phone to be completely useless. Apple did eventually solve this problem with later production runs of the iPhone 7 however, if this is a concern of yours go with a newer phone like the iPhone 8 that had no manufacturing defects reported whatsoever.

• A:Answer iPhones that have no SIM restrictions or carrier locks will typically work with any carrier of your choosing. If you decide to purchase one of these preowned iPhones simply go into settings, general, then about after the phone is initially set up and check the carrier lock status. If it says no Sim restrictions you should be good to go.

• A:Answer No, the iPhone 7 and 7+ do not have the 5G capable wireless antenna built-in. However, they will be able to access the 4G LTE network for the for seeable future. If you wanna access to the 5G networks you will need an iPhone SE three or an iPhone 12 or newer

Given that this is an iPhone 7 you could expect that it will have iOS version 10 or later. As of 2022 the iPhone 7 is capable of running the latest version of iOS which is 15

• A:Answer The iPhone 7 stands two generations ahead of iPhone 6. Of course, coming from a 6+ to an iPhone 7 means you’re going to be reducing your screen size however, the included hardware would more than make up for it. And unlock the iPhone would work for the carrier that you mentioned in your question but at this point buying an iPhone 7 unless you are strapped for cash would not be the best way to go. Your best bet would be to invest in the latest generation iPhone SE3 which is based off the iPhone 7 form factor. You’re getting 5G capability the latest and greatest chipset and a battery that is not going to be overly worn.

• A:Answer Someone was sloppy and did not properly erase the phone before it was put up for sale. If it’s asking for the unlock code only the previous owner would know it. If it was not properly removed from iCloud or find my than it is going to need the Apple ID password of the previous owner. Your best bet is to return it

An iPhone 7 will require a nano Sim in order to access any of the major carrier networks located here in the United States. Without a Sim card you can’t make phone calls
