The iPhone 7 and 7+ did not have any recalls on them. However, the iPhone seven and 7+ did have an initial manufacturing defect where in a low grade solder was used to attach the audio I see chip to the internal logic board. After repeated impacts or shocks or if the phone was exposed to extreme heat the audio I see chip could D laminate from the logic board and cause the phone to be completely useless. Apple did eventually solve this problem with later production runs of the iPhone 7 however, if this is a concern of yours go with a newer phone like the iPhone 8 that had no manufacturing defects reported whatsoever.
