That is a question you should ask your specific carrier. The keyboard does not provide cellular so I don't think it provides a solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just transfer your SIM card from your old iPad. No need to call your carrier or do anything else. It will simply work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The iPad Pro has an esim. Which means there is no sim needed for this model. I just went to ATT and had them switch numbers. I left the old sim in the old iPad when I traded it in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Pull the SIM card from your ipad and insert it into your new ipad, same number, just works on your new ipad now thru your carrier. SIM card is on the side of your ipad, use tool or paper clip to open and shut close. Just make sure the card is inserted the same position as it was your your old ipad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use my iPhone (or you could use any android hotspot equipped phone to do the same) as a hotspot and no longer use or purchase the cellular equipped iPad so I can save the monthly service cost, also you save the cellular equipped cost of the iPad, usually around $150.00. I previously used the cellular equipped iPad and would move the existing number and service to the new device, it was a very simple process.
