“I am trying to download from a DV tape to Adobe Premiere on a newish MacPro. The video camera downloads via Firewire. My Mac does not have Firewire, but has Thunderbolt. Will the MD464LL/A Adapter permit me do this download?”

• I’m getting this adapter to transfer data from my 2010 Mac which has a fire wire port only to my new MacBook pro via thunderbolt 2 port.. I’ve seen dv/tapes transferred to the new lap tops threw multiple cable adapters

• Should work, I’ve seen adapters put together to transfer to thunderbolt from the dv-FireWire-thunderbolt2-thunderbolt3 to a new MacBook Pro 2017 .

• Yes, this will adapt Thunderbolt to FireWire.
