• Yes, it will turn on anything connected in the chain if set that way. My 4K Apple TV (per the settings I made) turns on, turns on my receiver to the correct input and turns on the TV. It turns all that off as well when I power down. Again, you may have to make these adjustments via settings but mine worked like this out of the box.

• I have a Samsung Q80 and it automatically comes on when I wake up the Apple TV. Also there’s a choice in settings to do that. Apple TV settings is an icon that looks just like the one on your phone
