Q: QuestionWill there be high frame rate Dolby Vision? If not, why not? I hear it’s only available through rumors if you stream from your phone but that makes no sense why not just make it available on the device always?

• A:Answer So, according to 9to5mac: “Apple says the move to the A12 Bionic chip with the new Apple TV 4K enables high frame rate support for HDR and Dolby Vision at 60 fps for a more smooth and lifelike viewing experience. tvOS 14.5 supports high frame rates for AirPlay as well, so iPhone 12 Pro users can wirelessly cast 60 fps Dolby Vision videos to the new Apple TV 4K.” ...that verbiage says to me that they support high frame rate HDR & Dolby Vision for regular use as well as via AirPlay. So it should be both, not just via AirPlay. At least that’s what it seems like to me.

Q: QuestionHDR to SDR vice versa switch - All streaming devices usually have a lag (black screen for a while) on switching from one format to another. Even the previous model of Apple TV 4K has that. Does this new model has any improvement in that?

• A:Answer There's only 2 4K Apple TV Gens (Designs). The latest is the 2nd Gen. There is a 4th Gen Model but thats a 4th Gen because it's the 4th Gen WITHIN the "first Design". In other words what they really mean is by 2nd Gen is a New Redesign. And between the 1-4th Gen (aka first Design) and the New 2nd Gen (aka Redesign) is The Apple 4K TV Box itself is basically the same the only real difference comes with the controller that comes with the box. In fact Most ppl would argue if you have the 1st Design already just but the New Latest Gen controller by itself. If you have neither go for the latest version because the difference in price from the 4th Gen Apple TV to the Newest one is only like 30 dollars, but the New controller itself is that price anyway, so you might as well get the whole complete New system in one go and not spend the money in the New Controller if you for for the older design.
