Yes & No. signing into your Apple TV with your Apple account credentials will place the apps on your new Apple Tav; however, each app will require you to sign in - so that the app fully recognizes the new device. QR codes are offered & makes activation of each app complete in a matter of minutes each.

As for me the apps probably do automatically download if sing into the same apple id your previous apple tv is signed on. As for me i had to download the apps manually since I'm now using a different apple id with m new apple tv but as for passwords/credentials go, it should be easy - at least with me it was. Once the app was downloaded i went into the sign in section and it recognized that i have an account for that certain app from there i synced it with my iphone and signed into my credentials automatically
