A:AnswerAs far as I can tell, the "Latest" gen for Apple TV is actually two different models. One is simply "Latest Generation" and the other is 4K. The difference is that the 4K model should be used with a 4K TV. The 4K specification has a higher resolution etc. that actually has nothing to do with anything that is "4K". It is just a name. The news gets worse in the short run. The TV - and by extension the Apple TV, will display great video if the source is "4K". I a few years I am sure that the average program video etc., will be "4K" so that these new 4K appliances are going to be worth getting. Its rather like 1080p video 15 years ago was rare but now it is the standard while "4K' is nor rare. Movies in theaters that are shot in 60 Frames Per Second are in the same class. They are really neat and really rare and - if they catch on - will be common in 10 years or so. Sorry for the long answer. I get carried away!
